Illustrative Squigg records. All example details are fictional.
Asset references matter when the building has many similar assets.
Dampers, doors and other passive fire assets need clear identification within the site record. A generic photograph or an unnamed row in a spreadsheet can make a later visit difficult to interpret. Keep the customer, site, asset reference and location with the inspection.
Configure reusable checks for your inspection scope. Record Pass, Fail or N/A at check level and attach comments or photographs where they explain the outcome. Record No Access at asset level when the asset cannot be inspected.
A finding should remain visible through remedial activity.
When a finding requires remedial attention, its context should travel with the return visit. Squigg keeps recorded issues, follow-up work and completed outcomes against the asset involved, rather than treating the inspection and repair as unrelated documents.
Historical inspection results remain useful after a later visit. A Fixed outcome resolves the recorded issue; No fault found leaves the fault unconfirmed. Keeping that distinction helps the record explain what actually happened.
- Identifiable assets and locations
- Check results and photographic evidence
- Recorded access limitations
- Defects, remedial activity and follow-up history
Useful records without an invented compliance promise.
Squigg brings findings and recorded work into professional reports and inspection remedial schedules. The software keeps the asset history connected; your business defines inspection scope, competent-person requirements and applicable standards.
This is not a claim of certified fire-damper testing, automatic regulatory validation or a statutory inspection schedule. Review the required checks and report content for your business before using any software in a specialised fire-safety process.
Useful details before you choose.
Is Squigg dedicated fire-damper software?
No. Fire and passive fire work is one potential application of its broader site, asset, inspection and remedial-work approach. The same core product supports other physical asset workflows.
Does it certify that an inspection meets fire-safety standards?
No certification or automated compliance validation is advertised. Your business determines the inspection scope and applicable standards.
