THE CONNECTED WORKFLOW / INSPECTION & MAINTENANCE REPORTING
The report starts with the work you recorded.
Bring inspection findings, asset details and evidence into customer-facing reports. Spend less time rebuilding the visit from notes, Excel and phone photos.

Reported problem
Drive belt worn. Replacement required.
Work carried out
Worn belt removed and replaced. Unit restarted and operation checked.
Illustrative Squigg records. All example details are fictional.
Stop assembling the visit from separate sources.
A note in one place, an asset register in Excel and photographs on a phone make reporting an exercise in matching records. The risk is not just repetitive typing: evidence can end up under the wrong asset or the explanation can lose the context of the check.
Squigg records the work around the customer, site and asset first. The report can then use the findings and evidence already associated with that work, rather than asking the engineer to describe the visit a second time.
Use the report that fits the recorded work.
Inspection reporting brings together recorded findings, check outcomes and photo evidence. Inspection remedial schedules identify remedial items. Works-completed reports describe targeted call-outs and follow-ups, including the reported problem, work carried out and recorded outcome.
The illustrated WRK-012 report concerns AHU-023 at Riverside Office Campus. It identifies the asset and location, describes the worn belt and replacement work, and records a Fixed outcome. This is fictional content and an illustrative layout, not an issued customer document.
- Customer/site and asset references
- Inspection findings and outcomes
- Photo evidence associated with the work
- Remedial and works-completed reporting
Reporting is part of the asset history.
The customer-facing document is an output of recorded work, not the whole product. Completed visits and their reports remain connected to the asset, so the report can be found in the context of later inspections or a reactive call-out.
The benefit is less copying and manual formatting. No quantified time saving, arbitrary branded template designer, certification format or automatic report delivery is promised here. The required inspection scope remains your business’s responsibility.
Useful details before you choose.
Is Squigg only a PDF generator?
No. Reports draw on recorded inspections and work connected to customer sites and assets. Findings, remedial activity and history remain useful before and after the PDF is produced.
Does a report certify compliance with a particular standard?
A professional report records the work. It does not by itself certify that the inspection meets a specific statutory or industry standard.
